Free delivery from the order amount for OpenCart

The Free Shipping on Order Total (Fixed Price) module adds a convenient shipping method to your store: as long as the order total is below a specified threshold, the customer is shown a fixed shipping cost, and once the threshold is reached, shipping becomes free (0.00). The customer also sees a hint indicating how much more they need to add to their cart before receiving free shipping.

What the module can do

• Checks if delivery is available for the selected geo-zone (country/region).
• Calculates shipping costs as fixed until a threshold is reached.
• When the amount "Amount from which shipping will be free" is reached, the cost is set to 0.
• Supports tax class for correct tax calculation.
• Shows the buyer an informative text: cost and remaining amount before free delivery.
• Has settings: status, sorting, delivery method name.

Important: If a geo-zone is not specified, the method is considered available for all zones.

Recommendations and application examples

This is ideal when you want to gently encourage upselling: for example, shipping is 150 UAH, but free for orders over 3000 UAH. The buyer will see the prompt "Free shipping is available..." and will be more likely to add the item to avoid paying shipping.

Tip: Set a descriptive name for the method (e.g. "Courier / Door-to-Door Delivery") and make sure the tax class matches your accounting scheme.
