Fast Attribute Select

The Fast Attribute Select module speeds up work with product attributes in the OpenCart admin panel: it helps you quickly select attributes, insert predefined values, and batch edit identical values across all products. This is useful when you have a large catalog, multiple languages, and need consistent attributes.

Purpose of the module

• Quick selection of attributes when editing a product (instead of manual search and addition).
• Substitution of “popular” attribute values in one click from a drop-down list.
• Bulk editing of attribute values across the entire store through a separate interface.

Main functions

1) Acceleration of filling attributes in the product card

• A general drop-down list of all attributes is added (grouped by attribute groups).
• Automatic loading of a list of quick values for the selected attribute (unique values are taken from already filled products).
• When you select a value in the select, it is automatically inserted into the text field.
• If there are no suitable values for an attribute, the select is hidden and the text field becomes larger.
• Copy button (for multiple languages): copies the filled-in attribute value to empty language fields.
• Add All Attribute from Group function: automatically adds all attributes from the selected group.

2) Editing attribute values across the entire directory

• In the left menu of the admin panel, the item “Edit attributes” appears (if you have access rights).
• A table list of values with columns: group, attribute, value, quantity, language.
• Filters by:
  • attribute value,
  • attribute name,
  • the name of the group,
  • language.
• Editing directly in the table click on the value → textarea → save/cancel.
• Saving applies the replacement to all products where the old value was found (within the selected language).

Important: The module changes values in bulk based on text matches. This is an ideal way to quickly standardize attribute spelling (e.g., "1000 mAh" → "1000 mAh").

• Less routine less manual typing and copy-paste in product cards.
• Consistent attribute values throughout the entire directory.
• Convenient for multilingualism quickly copy values between languages.
• Quick bulk editing without export/import.

How to apply in practice

1. Open the product → attributes tab → select the required attribute from the general list.
2. If the module displays a list of quick values, simply select the appropriate one and it will be inserted into the text.
3. Need to fill an entire group at once? Enter the group in the field and click Add All Attributes from Group.
4. To fix the same error across the catalog: go to "Edit Attributes", find the value through the filter and replace it directly in the table.
