Customer Group Coupons in OpenCart

The Customer Group Coupons module adds customer group restrictions to OpenCart coupons. This is useful when one promo code should only work for wholesalers, another for regular customers, and you want to prevent retail shoppers or guests from using them.

Discount code for the selected group

A customer group selection feature now appears inside the coupon configuration card. For stores with multi-tier pricing, this is a straightforward way to avoid creating unnecessary layout rules and eliminate the need to manually explain to managers who can use which code.

If no groups are selected, the coupon remains available to everyone by default, just like in standard OpenCart.

What's changing in the Marketing admin panel?

A dedicated block featuring customer groups appears in the coupon creation and editing form. The administrator simply checks the desired options with checkboxes and saves the coupon.

• You can select one or several specific groups at once.
• The All option remains available for regular promo codes without restrictions.
• The main coupon list clearly shows which customer groups each code is valid for.

Managing promo codes efficiently

It becomes much easier for store managers to issue discounts tailored to specific customer segments. For example, a code intended for dealers will not accidentally be applied to a retail promotion, and a promo code for a VIP group will not work for a newly registered customer.
