Modern OpenCart provides very good security, but there are many other ways to infect a site. Use this report as an additional layer of protection to detect suspicious activity in a timely manner. It compares the previous and current state of your website files so that you can protect your OpenCart store in a timely manner. If you or your developer has done something (for example, edited a template, installed an extension, etc.), then you can simply accept the changes in the report. But if nothing has been done on the site and you see strange changes, you most likely caught a virus.
The first time you install the module the report will show all files and directories as newly added. Accept this change. Check again that there are no changes (changes in the cache folder and the bootstrap.css file and others, depending on the OpenCart version, are allowed).
When you do something with the site (edit, delete, add files, install opencart modules, etc.), the changes you made will be shown in the report. Accept these changes to.
From time to time (especially before making changes), check what has changed. If you see strange changes - be afraid! Your site may be infected with a virus. Investigate these suspicious changes. But if there are no unexpected changes, most likely everything is in order.
Click [+] [-] to expand/collapse directories. Click on the icons (*) (+) (-) to see detailed information about the change.
The module scans the current state (directories and files with size, date, time information) into a JSON file. During the next check, it compares the saved state and the current one.
