Different shipping cost for each product OpenCart

If your store has products with varying dimensions, weights, or special shipping conditions, a standard "one shipping price for everything" quickly becomes a headache. This module solves the problem simply: you set the shipping cost directly on the product page, and at checkout, the system automatically calculates the shipping cost for all items in your cart.

What does the module do?

• Adds a new field in the product admin panel: “Delivery cost”.
• Stores the value in the database (a delivery field is added to the product table).
• Passes the shipping cost of the item to the cart and uses it when calculating shipping.
• Calculates the total delivery as the sum: quantity × delivery of the product for all products requiring delivery.
• If delivery is not specified for the product, the default cost is taken from the method settings.

What data and settings does it work with?

• delivery - individual delivery of goods (decimal 15.4).
• Default price for items without a specified value.
• Geofencing is a restriction of delivery methods by region.
• Tax class and price formatting in store currency.
• Status and sort order of the shipping method.

Important: The calculation is only performed for items with the "Shipping Required" option enabled (shipping = true). Virtual items do not affect the shipping cost.

Practical examples of application

1. Fragile items: Set extra shipping for glass/ceramics.

2. Large items: please specify a separate delivery price for furniture or appliances.

3. Mixed cart: the customer buys 3 different items—the module fairly totals the shipping costs for each.
