Cart lifetime OpenCart

The Cart Lifetime module helps you manage the cart retention period in OpenCart and reduce the loss of uncompleted orders. Instead of a fixed cart expiration interval, you can set a custom cart expiration period to keep items in the visitor's cart longer and available for their next visit.

What is the module for?

By default, the cart is often cleared too early (the standard is one hour), causing the user to return to the store and see an empty list of selected items. This degrades the shopping experience and can reduce conversion. The module addresses this issue by providing a configurable cart retention period and carefully managing the session ID via cookies.

Important: If the module is enabled, the trash bin storage period is set in the admin panel using the desired time unit, and the system's cleaning logic automatically adjusts to the selected parameters.
