Removing the OpenCart Downloads Link

The "Downloads" section was created to neatly remove blocks with file download links from the personal account interface. If your storefront doesn't use the download feature, or the links are cluttered, this module will help free up space and make navigation clearer.

Purpose of the module

The module removes the "Downloads" option from the theme templates. This eliminates the need for users to see irrelevant links and links, while administrators gain greater control over the appearance of their pages.

What exactly does the module do?

Internally, it uses template editing (OCMod): the module searches for specific markup fragments and completely replaces them with empty space. This means the download link disappears from the interface.

• Removes the item with the download link on the account page.
• Removes the text_download widget/row in the account module template.
• No additional settings are required: just install and update the modifications.

Important: After installation, the removed elements will only be visually inaccessible—the actual loading logic in other parts of the site remains unchanged. If you want to completely disable file serving in the system, you will need to configure a separate configuration or edit the backend.

If the changes are not visible after installation, check the cache and regenerate the modifications (update OCMod), and also make sure that the templates used actually contain the fragments you are looking for.
