Universal banners with a timer for OpenCart

The "Universal Banners with Timer" module is a convenient tool for your OpenCart storefront that transforms ordinary images into live promo blocks, complete with overlay text, a slider, and a countdown to the end of the promotion. It's perfect for sales, seasonal offers, and announcements where it's important to show how much time is left and encourage purchase.

Purpose of the module

Create and display banners in one or two blocks, customizing their appearance and display rules by device, category, and customer group.

Main functions

• 2 independent banner blocks (1st and 2nd), each displayed in its own column.
• Swiper slider with effects: swipe, fade, cube, coverflow, flip.
• Promotion timer the {special} variable supplies a counter until the end date.
• Display by start/end dates and sort banners by priority.
• Display restrictions by categories and buyer groups (including "Guest").
• Select device: all, desktop only, or phone only.

Customizable parameters

• Dimensions: width/height, top and bottom padding.
• Autoscroll and animation speed, delay in starting the 2nd block.
• Arrow navigation and pagination, their colors.
• Background color under the text (substrate over the image).

Tip: Add {special} to the banner text, and the module will automatically display a timer until date_end. If you don't specify an end date, the timer won't be displayed.

1. "20% off until the end of the week - {special} left" at the top of the category.
2. Two promotional columns: on the left “Hits”, on the right “Deal of the day” with a delayed display.
3. Personalized banners: wholesalers see one offer, retailers see another.
