Disabling coupons for products with promotional prices in OpenCart

The "No coupon apply for special products" module solves a common problem in OpenCart online stores: it automatically disables coupon discounts for products that already have a special price. This helps maintain correct margins and prevent double price reductions when a coupon is applied to a promotional product.

Purpose of the module

The extension integrates into the cart totals calculation and checks each item when processing a coupon with a percentage discount. If an item has a special price, the coupon discount for it is set to zero. For other items, the coupon works as usual.

Important: The module affects the coupon percentage type in the standard calculation logic and does not disrupt the basic order processing mechanism.
