Ajax Live Search for OpenCart

The module adds a Ajax Live Search store with suggestions right as you type. Customers type their search query and immediately see matching products, without having to navigate to a separate page after each search.

How does in-store search work?

Ajax Live Search displays results in a drop-down list below the search bar. The suggestion card displays the product name, price, image, and short description. If you need more options, a link to a page with all the found products is displayed at the bottom of the list.

• results appear as you type;
• Live search is supported based on the selected category;
• the list shows a specified number of items;
• If desired, you can leave only the name and price, removing unnecessary elements.

What can be configured in the admin panel?

1. Minimum query length to prevent hints from triggering too early.
2. Limit the number of products in the drop-down list to avoid overloading the search results.
3. Image size in tooltips.
4. Length of title and description in characters to make the list look neat.
5. Separate switches for displaying images, prices, descriptions, and add-to-cart buttons.
6. Custom link text Show all results for each store language.

Ajax Live Search makes searching noticeably more lively: shoppers find the product they need faster, and the catalog is easier to browse, even with a large selection.
