Delete OpenCart order history

The Delete Order History module adds a simple and highly practical feature to the OpenCart admin panel: deleting individual order history entries directly from the order page. This is a great help when the order history includes test statuses, erroneous manager comments, or unnecessary notifications that shouldn't be retained in the customer's account.

Purpose of the module

The main goal is to provide the administrator with a tool for fine-grained "cleaning" of the order history without deleting the order itself or manually manipulating the database. Deletion is performed carefully: after deleting a record, the module updates the current order status based on the last remaining record in the history.

Important: The delete button is active when there is more than one entry in the history - this prevents the history from becoming empty.

What the module can do

• Adds a "Delete" column to the order history table in the admin panel.
• Displays a trash can button for each history entry.
• Shows a confirmation message before performing the deletion operation.
• Deletes a post via AJAX without reloading the page, then updates the history block.
• After deletion, adjusts the order data: order_status_id and date_modified are taken from the last history entry.

Practical examples of application

The module is especially useful in situations where:

• The manager accidentally added an incorrect status (for example, "Completed" instead of "Processing").
• Test entries were added to the history when setting up notifications/integrations.
• You need to delete an extra comment that should not be stored in the order history.
