Discount on OpenCart shipping and payment method

The "Discount for Selected Shipping and Payment" module for OpenCart adds an automatic percentage discount to orders, based on the customer's chosen shipping method and, if applicable, payment method. This is useful for gently encouraging customers to choose a shipping option that's more advantageous for your store or a specific payment method.

What does the module do?

• Picks up the delivery and payment options selected during checkout (session data).
• For each active delivery method, sets a discount in %.
• May take into account payment according to logic:
  • do not take into account payment;
  • apply discount only if specific payment is selected;
  • apply discount if any payment other than the one specified is selected.
• Adds a new line to the order totals with your discount name and reduces the total.

What data and operations does it work with?

1. Reads: shipping_method.code, payment_method.code.
2. Takes settings from the configuration: discount size, logic, selected payment, discount name, sorting.
3. Calculates the discount using the formula: (order total / 100) × % discount.
4. Writes the result to the array total['totals'] and decrements total['total'].

Important: If the discount value is empty or equal to 0, the discount will not be shown and will not be applied at checkout.
